Hurricane Boost Trailer

Specifications:

  • Hurricane Trailer
  • The Hurricane C1 is a trailer-mounted pump capable of delivering 1100 GPM (4165 LPM) of water at 155 PSI (1070 kPa). The C1 is designed for quick delivery to the emergency situation drafting from a single deployable 6" x 20 ft (6m) hard-suction line. The integrated fuel tank allows for 8 hours of full-power pumping capability without refueling.

The C1 pumping system contains a diesel power unit coupled to an integrated gearbox and end-suction pump. The end-suction pump inlet is connected to a 6" hard-suction line capable of drafting from a 15 foot (4.5m) lift (at sea level). An electric priming system is included.

Inlet water is supplied through a single 150mm (6”) connection located at the rear of the trailer. A 100mm stainless steel waterway is integrated into the trailer body, feeding the 75mm stainless steel monitor. The monitor has an uninterrupted 360° rotational range, and has an elevation range from -5° to 90°. The monitor is manually controlled using a single control bar for rotation and elevation. Optionally, an electric monitor can be supplied using either tethered or wireless controls.

The Hurricane C1 is integrated into a standard over-the-road trailer. The height-adjustable hitch can be either pintle-style or ball-style to accommodate any standard towing vehicle. The trailer is equipped with a standard US-DOT vehicle lighting package. Electric brakes are provided to facilitate towing, and a runaway brake is included to automatically stop the trailer in the event of vehicle separation.
Adjustable crank-style jacks are located at the rear corners and the front. The jacks are lowered during operation to provide increased stability.
The top working surface of the trailer is coated with a durable, anti-slip coating to provide optimal operator safety.
